Growing up, my mom would take me to yard sales on the weekends. It always amazed me how she could find a beautiful piece of furniture or a vintage handbag for just $15. Because of these trips, bargain hunting has become a hobby of mine as I get older. I definitely don't think anybody needs to spend thousands of dollars to achieve their dream wardrobe or home. Let me tell you, finding an item that you're absolutely in love with from a thrift store or a yard sale or even the sale rack at your favorite retailer, is extremely satisfying. I mean, come on, who doesn't love a good deal?
Although it's always okay to treat yourself and splurge on an item that you really love, I want to encourage as many people as I can to give thrifting a chance. It's good for the environment and your wallet. Once you get the hang of it, you're going to love it and never look back ;)
